Frequently Asked Questions

We’ll meet either by video or phone, whichever you prefer. I’ll ask more about what prompted you to reach out and how I might be of help to you. I will also share about my approach, and you can ask any questions you may have. Together, we’ll see if we are a good fit to work together.

Prior to starting therapy, I’ll invite you to complete some forms in my client portal. During the first session, we’ll focus on what brings you to therapy and where you’re experiencing difficulties in your life or where you’re feeling stuck. I may ask you about your past experiences and what you hope will be different in the future. You’ll also have a chance to see how you feel working with me, since the therapy relationship is one of the most important determinants of successful treatment.

I am an out-of-network provider with most insurance companies. If your carrier offers out-of-network behavioral health benefits, you will likely be eligible to receive reimbursement (partial or full) for services. I can provide you with the necessary documentation to submit a claim directly to your insurance.

Is there an out-of-network deductible?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session (CPT code 90834 for a 50-minute therapy session)?
Is there a maximum allowable charge for each session?
Is there a session limit per year?
